Political Insights BD was founded in response to a critical gap in Bangladesh's political ecosystem: the absence of credible, non-partisan research and advisory services that could bridge the divide between democratic aspirations and institutional reality.
After observing decades of policy-making driven more by political expediency than empirical evidence, our founding team—comprising political scientists, governance experts, and development professionals—recognized the urgent need for an organization that could provide objective analysis and practical solutions to Bangladesh's governance challenges.
Our founding principle: "Democratic institutions don't fail because of bad intentions—they fail because of outdated systems, insufficient capacity, and the absence of evidence-based decision-making frameworks."
Since our establishment, we have worked with political parties across the spectrum, civil society organizations, international development partners, and government agencies to introduce modern governance practices, strengthen institutional capacity, and promote data-driven policy-making.
Today, Political Insights BD stands as Bangladesh's leading independent think tank specializing in political reform and institutional modernization, with a track record of successful projects that have measurably improved democratic processes and governance outcomes.
Our work is guided by the UN Sustainable Development Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and we maintain partnerships with international organizations including UNDP, USAID, and various EU agencies committed to democratic development.
